In October 2013 we set out on a month long backpacking journey across Cambodia, Thailand, and Myanmar. We captured hours of footage and have tried to whittle it down to a few minutes in a few short films. This film shows our journey through Myanmar.
Myanmar (Burma) is under one of the longest military dictatorships. It was heavily sanctioned from the U.S. and other countries, traveling here was off-limits in the past. Aung San Suu Kyi, a political activist, Nobel laureate, and daughter of a Burmese hero who negotiated the independence from Britain (and so much more, this woman is incredible!) pushed to open the borders to tourists in 2011. We were more than humbled and delighted to experience the kindness of the people and the beauty of this country.

I traveled through Japan for 10 days. The music and editing of this film reflects our lightening-speed paced journey from Tokyo to Kyoto, Mt. Fuji, Nara, then ending in Osaka for a friend's wedding.
Most of the filming and editing was done by Chris Brosz. I spent most of my time photographing, art directing and learning the basics of filming.
We stayed at an Airbnb outside of Gouda, Holland and were pleasantly surprised when we found out it was a homestead with farm animals! The family that owned the property rented out half of their home to tourists and the other half they lived and ran the farm from. Of course within the first hour of arriving we asked if we could hang out with the animals and take some footage. We ended up falling in love with this little baby goat (the star of the video) who had been rejected by her mother, but was bottle fed by humans so she was immediately trusting of us. These animals were so darn cute we had to make a quick video to share with our animal lover friends. Enjoy!

We fell in love with Turkey. Filmed over several visits to Istanbul and one visit to Cappadocia, this is our attempt to pay tribute to the beautiful country and its friendly people. We can't wait to get back.

Las Fallas (in Spanish), or Las Falles (in Valenciano), is a week long fiesta that engulfs the entire city of Valencia, Spain. Hoards flock to the streets to party and to see the hundreds of individual works of art (Fallas/Falles) that are simultaneously burned on the last night during what is known as La Cremà. Firecrackers the size of your hand called "petardos" are easily purchased and explode sporadically 24/7. La Mascletà occurs daily in the town plaza, unleashing a powerful coordinated display of ear-shattering fireworks that shakes the city. An incredible, surreal tradition to celebrate the coming spring.

I worked on a :30 video edit for Devialet's (French speaker company) Phantom which was used on their website and a few other similar cuts for Harrod's and Colette in Paris. It's a speaker that offers superb sound quality using both analog and digital technology. It's been touted by tech crowd in Silicon Valley and made an appearance in Cannes.
